Legacy Recordings, la divisione catalogo di Sony Music Entertainment, è orgogliosa di annunciare la pubblicazione il 30 ottobre 2015 in tutto il mondo di If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Il nuovo straordinario album contiene Le migliori performance canore di Elvis con un accompagnamento orchestrale completamente nuovo, insieme a un duetto con Michael Bublé, e la partecipazione straordinaria de Il Volo e di Duane Eddy.
If I Can Dream è un’emozionante rivisitazione del lavoro di Elvis, incentrata sulla inconfondibile voce del Re del Rock and Roll. Registrato ai mitici Abbey Road Studios di Londra con acclamati produttori del calibro di Don Reedman e Nick Patrick, l’album di 14 canzoni contiene le più intense performance originali di Elvis arricchite dai nuovi arrangiamenti della Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. “This would be a dream come true for Elvis” dice Priscilla Presley del progetto. “He would have loved to play with such a prestigious symphony orchestra. L’album contiene “Fever” in duetto con la superstar del jazz-pop Michael Bublé, “It’s Now or Never” (adattamento della celebre “O sole mio”, inciso da Elvis Presley nel 1960) con le eccezionali voci de Il Volo e include anche contributi aggiuntivi del chitarrista Duane Eddy (entrato nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame), che aggiunge il tocco del suo sound ad “An American Trilogy” e ” Bridge Over Troubled Water “, Come dice l’arrangiatore Nick Patrick “This is the record he would have loved to make.”
If I Can Dream fa parte delle celebrazioni dell’80° compleanno di Elvis nel 2015, che è stato commemorato con un sito web nuovamente riprogettato, www.ElvisTheMusic.com, l’uscita di The Complete ’60s Albums Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 su iTunes (7 agosto), e il lancio di “Direct From Graceland: Elvis at the O2”, la più grande retrospettiva su Elvis mai montata in Europa.
